Dear Friends and Supporters of NGM:
Miraculously things are coming together very well. Although we no longer were a registered mission in Bolivia and could therefore not bring in the container, the pastor and president of Iglesia Evengelica Mundial (IEM) (World Evangelical Church) offered that we could bring it in under their name. His personal name is Rafael Flores, but now he finds out that since they do not have a tax number, they cannot bring it in either. But Rafael is very knowledgeable with all the right contacts, so he’s taking on full responsibility to do what needs to be done to bring it through.
Can you imagine what a relief it is to me, because these are things I’m responsible for, and with my limited knowledge in legal matters here, and with my limited Spanish, it’s far above my ability. But again I have to remind myself of: 1 Thess. 5:24. “Faithful is He who calls you who also will do it.”
This is the leadership and worship team of Rafael’s church, where I attend. Rafael in the center, his wife on his left, Baldir on her left, and his wife on his left. Baldir is our rep in Santa Cruz.
We are into the colder part of the year, so school attendance is low. Schools have a two-week holiday now because of the cold. And you wonder what is cold. Well in Santa Cruz it does go down to +6C but in the higher elevation it goes below freezing and they do get snow there as well.
Baldir and I have spent considerable time together in Santa Cruz using taxi and street buses to get around. Sometimes we have to walk up to 6 blocks to find the right bus. About a week ago we went out-of-town; this is the bus we rode for about 30 minutes one way. The cost both ways is about three dollars. Partly paved and partly muddy and rough.
June has been a very productive month, between four workers they have served:
- 90 Schools
- 1,065 Teachers
- 23,749 Students.
Please pray for these students and teachers that have received the Gospel message that:
- They will be able to nurture their new faith,
- They will find a place of worship and fellowship.
- Please pray also for the container to pass through customs and all legal processes.
May God’s blessing rest upon each one of you who are actively part of this mission by prayer and finances.
Gus, on behalf of NGM.
