Dear Friends and Supporters of NGM:
Monday was Mother’s Day in Bolivia, and Thursday was a Catholic holiday called “The Body of Christ.” Which has left us with only three school days this week. But the month of May has been very productive.
- Schools visited: 92
- Students served: 18,622
- Teachers served: 1,276 This means that almost 20,000 souls have been introduced to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the month of May.
Recess time well spent by reading their new material.
Bolivians love to read, and they will usually read out loud.
No lack of enthusiasm when it comes to hearing about God.
Years ago at the end of my time on the farm, I manufactured some small mahogany boxes, from my own tree, to give to family, and to such as were keenly interested in NGM so that when they would see it, they would remember to pray for the mission.
Well, I met some dear saints this week that I had not seen for many years, so upon recollecting our former acquaintances, they immediately remembered this little box and assured me they have been praying for this mission. And so I was able to share with them that their prayers were not in vain.
I sometimes ask the Lord some questions Like:
- Am I where you want me to be?
- Am I doing what you want me to do?
- Is there a willingness in my heart to change if He would want me to do so?
Then it seems that the Lord in His mercy sends along encouragements like this to reconfirm what He has called me to do. Bless His Holy name.
May the Lord’s richest blessing rest upon those of you who are actively part of what God is doing here in Bolivia.
Gus, on behalf of NGM.
