Dear Friends and Supporters of NGM:
It is amazing that in the midst of much turmoil there can be such joy. Public schools are closed but private schools are still open. Baldir (our new worker) and I went to a private school this morning where the students were well into their teens. After the introduction and preliminaries I ask them who all wants to go to heaven, the response is very enthusiastically positive.
The enthusiasm calms down somewhat with the next question which is: “Will sin be allowed to enter into heaven?” This time the response is definitely NO. Their response to the next question touches my emotions very deeply and this morning I almost broke down as I saw their response.
The question is this: Since we are all sinners and sin cannot enter heaven, how can we expect to enter heaven? By this time you can see them thinking very seriously and they do not know what to say. At that point they are ready to hear the message of salvation that is available to us in Christ Jesus, and they need to make a decision.
Although limited in Spanish, the message seems to come through.
Words fail me to express the fulfillment of joy in the possibility of some of these students becoming genuinely saved. Jesus said He would build his church and the gates of Hell would not prevail against it. Matt. 16:18. What a privilege it is to be a part of what He is doing. And may God richly bless each one of you who are actively a part of this, both by prayer and finances.
Gus, on behalf of NGM.
