I have neglected to bring you up to date on the injured from the accident. The one lady’s bone above the eye was indented, but the eye was okay. Otherwise there were surface lacerations from glass. The most time spent in the hospital was almost three days.
Also I had mentioned that I was giving that part of the work over to Rene and his new partner Jairo. They have now almost completed two weeks, and as you could see on the previous update that the roads are rough.
The plan is to purchase another vehicle and find another partner to work with me to go and visit the towns and cities that we have not served.
What this means is:
- We will find the pastor in each town and city who is responsible of their ministerial.
- Together with him go to the school board office to get the statistics of number of schools, teachers and students.
- Equip them with instruction material, and distribution material (The Word of God). This will multiply the work by about 4-6 times.
We, the board have met and decided that I should inform all you supporters that we would use whatever funds would come in during the month of June for the purchase of the next vehicle.
I have taken out my last term deposit which gives us $7,000.00 US. The kind of vehicle we would like to have would cost about $14,000.00 and more. Any amount above that would improve the quality and condition of the vehicle. This would be a vehicle similar to what we have.
One of the other things we really need is Bibles. We try to leave a Bible with each school. I personally bought $100. worth which gave us 83 New Testaments, but that only lasted two weeks, for next week we don’t have any.
Not long ago we had visitors come from Canada to see what is happening in Bolivia and what they could do to help. Well there is hardly a day that goes by that we aren’t reminded of their visit, because of their help. Some give monthly, and our pastor needed a computer, so one of them surprised him with a laptop. Trust me he’s making good use of it.
Proverbs 29:18 Says: “Where there is no vision the people perish…” This tells me that in order to have a vision from God we need to be convinced of two things.
- 1) That Hell is real.
- 2) That we have compassion for those on the way there.
This will help prepare us for a vision from God. I know that many of you have this because without that you would not pray for this work, neither would you give towards this work. So by God’s grace and your continued help we will go forward for the sake of the Kingdom of God.
I’m going to send the link again to where you can send your donations and receive a tax-deductible receipt. All donations received during the month of June will go towards the purchase of the next vehicle.
God bless you for being willing to be a part of the work here.
Gus, on behalf of the Board of “Next Generation Ministries, Bolivia.”
I’m sending two pictures.
