Here I am again, I’ve had a very interesting week distributing material to schools. The material is called “El Camino a Dios” which means “The Road to God.”
As I present it I ask the question: If we take the road to God, where do we come to? They usually answer, “Heaven” When I ask who all wants to go to heaven, they all raise their hands. Then I tell them that if they read and apply to their lives, what this little pamphlet teaches, they will get to heaven.
Then I tell them, since I have invited Jesus into my heart, I’m going to go to heaven, and because I want to see each one of them in heaven, we are bringing them the Word of God so that they will have the opportunity to go there too.
This week we’ve been off-road traveling bush roads through hills, rivers, rocks and mud. It is incredible to find schools in such remote areas. Distance between schools vary from 7 to 25 km. Much driving is done in 1st and 2nd gear.
Last Monday as we came to the end of a road where there was school #9 along that road, just before dark, we found this group especially warm and friendly. My partners preach a bit and then I played the accordion and we all sang for a while yet.
A young grandmother came to me and asked if I would be a godfather to her granddaughter. Then she brought her 15 year-old daughter with the baby only a month old, and did not have a name for it yet. So I was asked to give it a name too. So I suggested Fabiola, and she was so happy to finally have a name for her baby.
Then a while after dark at supper time we were invited to 2 places for supper. So instead of hurting their feelings we ate twice. The meat was armadillo.

Then they wanted us to stay for night, which we did. I had a hard bed but with a mosquito net I slept well. My partner slept in the vehicle.
The material is coming to an end, so I started to look for donors to order more material. When I asked for a price to print the material they asked if I expected them to donate it or if I expected to pay for it. I said I expected to pay for it. Then they told me someone had ordered 300,000 copies of that material to be distributed here in Bolivia. Well I could hardly contain myself for joy. I was reminded of 1 Thess. 5:24. “Faithful is He who calls you who also will do it.”
I am very amazed at the way help is always available for me. There is a pastor in one town who is taking it upon himself to see to it that I always have a helper, because I need help, and my Spanish is still to weak to do it myself. Anyway I am having a purposeful life, and thank God for a healthy body, to be able to do this work.
In Christ, Gus
